BT Total Broadband and Starbucks Join Forces to Offer Wireless Service

BT total broadband and Starbucks coffee houses have joined forces to offer customers Wi-Fi alongside their lattes and pastries across their 650 UK cafes. This is great news for the 4.6 million BT home broadband and Openzone customers, who will have free access to the web alongside iPhone customers.

The WiFi system will be fully operational in all 650 cafes by the end of the summer, though non BT customers will have to sign up and pay for the service.

Chief executive of BT Openzone, Chris Bruce, said -

Use of our Wi-Fi doubled last year and coffee shops are increasingly popular as a third place to work or log on to the internet.

This is great news for BT total broadband customers, who can not only log on for free at Starbucks but can now also receive 1GB of free wireless internet usage with their home package via a free USB stick. Great times to be a BT customer!
