T Mobile and Orange Merge to Form – Everything Everywhere
T-Mobile has finally joined forces with Orange to create Everything Everywhere, a merger of the two mobile phone giants which is bound to shake up the competition. Officially integrating on July 1st 2010, Everything Everywhere will have an estimated customer base of up to 30 million people, that’s over half of the UK adult population!
Orange and T-Mobile will continue to trade as separate companies, with each brand still having its own shops, marketing campaigns and service centres. The main change will be behind the scenes, where the two companies will work together as one team. The ethos is simple to give their joint customers instant access to the people, places and things they want, wherever they are.
This deal to merge two of Britain’s largest mobile phone operators was given the go ahead way back in March 2010 by EU regulators, with a press release revealing -
Britain’s biggest communications company was unveiled today, promising to transform the industry and give UK consumers the best coverage, devices, service and communications experience possible. Everything Everywhere is the name of the company that runs Orange and T-Mobile, and the company that all 16,500 employees will work for. The company will be officially integrated on July 1.
This massive step is sure to cause a lowering of prices and tariffs across the country from the majority of mobile providers, so expect some excellent deals coming onto the market in the coming months.
