o2 broadband offer all their users super fast speeds with unlimited downloads but those with an o2 monthly mobile phone contract will get discounted rates on the fast broadband packages.The different pricing structure mean their mobile customers can expect to pay £4.89 (after the recent VAT reduction) less on each deal compared to the standard price.

o2 Broadband for Everyone!
o2 Broadband have released details about the packages that will be available with the promise that there is something for everyone - from the casual emailers to the Internet addicts! O2 mobile subscribers will pay £7.34 a month for Unlimited 8Mb Broadband and from £9.79 for Unlimited 20Meg and PAYG and non o2 customers will pay £4.89 more for each package.
PAYG / Prepay customers will need to take out a 12 month O2 Home Broadband contract and will automatically get their discount off the O2 Broadband bill when they top up their mobile by a minimum of £10 every 3 months. If a Prepay customer fails to top-up their mobile by the minimum £10 in the 3 months before their Broadband bill is generated, they will be charged for their Broadband service at the higher (non-discounted) price for that month.
Existing Prepay customers who have O2 Home Broadband benefit too - O2 will automatically apply the discount!
The promise from o2 Broadband is that there will be fast, easy to use broadband available to all with a FREE UK based helpline! This will be good news to anyone who has spent hours on a phone help line being passed from call centre to call centre and all at your cost!
Mobile phone operator o2 bought one of the UK's brightest broadband provider when they purchased Be Broadband who offer broadband at speeds of up to 24Mb in August 2006. This follows hot in the footsteps of other mobile phone providers such as Orange who offer broadband to those who take on their mobile phone packages and also for standalone users. The purchase price for Be Broadband was believed to be around £50m which is beginning to look like a steal as the UK broadband and mobile markets continue to converge.
