"Virgin Media's standalone cable broadband offers something for everyone with the budget Size M costing just £4.50 a month when taken with a phone line for 2Meg broadband (more than enough for most people) up to the 20MB behemoth that is Size XL. Also because the broadband is delivered by cable you get a lot quicker average speeds than you would receive from ADSL providers."
Virgin Media's access to the cabled network enables them to offer broadband speeds of up to a massive 20Mbps for downloads and 768Kb for uploads. Also as the service provision is via cable you are a lot more likely to hit the top speeds available as you are not restricted by your distance from an exchange or quality of cabling like you are with ADSL.
